Volunteering in primary school projects

Osnovna šola Prestranek (Prestranek Primary School) - Slovenia

The objective of the project was to increase the inclusion of immigrant children in educational activities in primary school. By including two volunteers from Kosovo and Spain, the project aimed to improve the integration of Albanian and Ukrainian children into the classroom environment, and assist them in their educational progress. 

Their goal was to ensure that all children had equal opportunities for success in school, regardless of their migration background. The volunteers, alongside teachers, conducted workshops, language courses, sports activities, creative projects, and other initiatives that contributed to the diversity of the learning environment. The volunteers successfully carried out several projects, including a community clean-up campaign and several workshops addressing bullying. The project was extremely successful as its young participants learned the importance of accepting diversity, contributed to their personal growth, and broadened their horizons in terms of intercultural understanding.
