Get ready for the next DiscoverEU call!

Have you got all you need to win one of the 36,318 travel passes to discover the richness of Europe while travelling by train?

DiscoverEU is an initiative of the European Union, now part of the Erasmus+ Programme, offering a travel pass to young people aged 18 years old.

The next applications for DiscoverEU will open on the European Youth Portal, from Wednesday 2 April 2025 at 12:00 (CEST) to Wednesday 16 April 2025 at 12:00 (CEST)

To apply, you need to:

• Have been born between 1 July 2006 (included) and 30 June 2007 (included);
• Be citizen or long term legal resident of one of the following countries:

                  -  one of the Member States of the European Union including Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs)  or

                  -  one of the third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme: Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Turkey;

• Complete the correct ID, passport or legal residence card number on the online application form;

If you are selected, you can travel for a period of minimum 1 day and up to 30 days between 1 July 2025 and 30 September 2026. 

How does it work?

After filling in your personal data in the application form, you will have to answer a quiz of 5 multiple-choice questions on general knowledge about the European Union and on other European Union initiatives targeting young people. You will also be asked to answer a subsidiary question. 

If you have a disability or a health problem that makes your trip challenging, you will receive assistance and support to help you take part in DiscoverEU.

Wondering if you can travel with your friends?

Sure you can. It really is up to you. You can go solo or add up to 4 friends in your group provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
