JUKUS is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation specialised in supporting youth, culture and sports. JUKUS contributes to the establishment of intercultural and socio-cultural activities in the area of Graz. JUKUS runs a youth center "ECHO". Main target group of this youth center are migrants. At ECHO, young people can spend their free time away from the pressure. Here their needs are taken seriously, their worries and problems are listened to, their ideas are met with interest and - if possible - they are implemented. In an informal atmosphere, young people can find support and suggestions to enable them to discover their own resources and potential. The youth center sees itself as a place of communication, which is open and inviting for young people of all origins. The role of the ECS Volunteer is to support various activities, projects and the day to day work at the youth centre “ECHO", assist our team, initiate own projects and workshops.
Szállás, étkezés és utazás
JUKUS will provide a volunteer with a room at student's dormitory. There is the opportunity either to use a provided bicycle to reach the organisation or to use public transportation (ticket provided). The locations are reachable by bus or tram. Food allowance and pocket monez are provided according to programme guidelines.
Képzés a tevékenység során
The Volunteer will be provided at least with an On Arrival Training and a Mid Term Training, organized by the Austrian National Agency. The volunteer will have a possibility to attend German course. Omgoing support will be provided by experienced colleagues.
