Description
A project designed to draw children's and young people's attention to the importance of preserving and protecting the nature. The volunteers will help us in various activities related to the environmental and "non-formal" education by practicing radical sports and organizing many outdoor activities, they will develop the project that aims to draw youngsters with less opportunities and in risk of social expulsion closer to the nature and by the help of the non formal education methods will try to promote the social and educative integration, the volunteers will give our project new perspectives and at the same time they will have the possibility to interact with the local community and gain the best voluntary experience ever.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
House in Oporto Center (Old Downtown) All food/lodging and transport expenses are covered.
Training during the activity
OLS - Online Language Support (Portuguese); Pre-Departure Training; On-Arrival Training; Mid-Term Training.
Participant profile
The volunteer must demonstrate flexibility and availability to work as part of a group and willingness to learn new things. In addition, you must be a person who likes to interact with others, who is communicative and interactive, since most of our work is based on interpersonal relationships. We also require someone who is willing to take the initiative, show interest in Portuguese culture and is eager to learn. Onda Verde is an environmental youth organization and, we are looking for someone who likes Nature, sport and who knows or be able to know how to interact with disadvantaged people.
