Description
Mondo and Association Merkuri have been working together to fight violence against women since 2019. Mondo deploys expert volunteers to the area of Samegrelo region, in West Georgia, to help this women organisation dealing with women rights, gender issues, prevention and support of domestic violence. From March 2018 Association Merkuri runs a shelter for women affected by domestic violence, a centre for supporting families with violent/aggressive background. With this project we hope to strengthen our mission: to empower women through income-generating projects, education and skills training, to support setting up optimising and development of micro-enterprise run by women from vulnerable groups, and to provide mentoring for women newcomers in entrepreneurship.
