Empower young hearts: Volunteer with children with disabilities

NGO "Actio Catholica Patria"

Kaunas District Municipality Social Services Center

Kaunas, Lithuania

Description

Our center was founded in order to help fulfill the needs of children with disabilities and their families. We provide social services to children between the ages of 7 and 18, embracing a wide spectrum of abilities and needs - from mental and physical disabilities to complex developmental challenges. We stand by the side of families, offering support that transcends the ordinary. Together, we explore sports, create art, and tackle everyday tasks, nurturing growth and learning. As a part of our team, you'll be at the forefront of this incredible journey. Picture yourself in the midst of outdoor adventures, sharing in the daily routines, and most importantly, infusing the center with fresh, innovative ideas. Join us in this exhilarating mission - where every day brings new opportunities and every child's triumph is a cause for celebration. Apply to the project if you wish to empower children with disabilities and improve their livelihood.

You will receive a private room in a shared flat with other international volunteers. We will also cover public transportation costs in the city. Volunteers also receive monthly food and pocket money.

Participant profile

Join us on a journey that celebrates the extraordinary in the everyday. We're seeking individuals who are not just volunteers, but creative, well-organized, and compassionate champions for children with disabilities. Expect to dive headfirst into the wonderfully unpredictable world of childhood, embracing creativity and open-mindedness. In the midst of all the laughter and play, you'll also become a role model, setting an inspiring example for our kids.
