Description
The work tasks will mainly involve promoting the European Union Missions and various interests of social actors in El Borge, the town that will host you! Some examples of specific tasks: Creation and implementation of workshops for promoting healthy lifestyles. Promotion of digitalization and visual imaging of different resources in the town to advance the digitalization of rural areas. Raising awareness about climate change and the European Green Deal through workshops for children and youngsters. Creating online and offline campaigns to promote European missions in rural contexts. Supporting local events organized by the town, such as “El día de la pasa”. Developing your own mini-project to implement in El Borge, such as intercultural workshops, installations, audiovisual content creation, etc. Find here all the information: https://cutt.ly/iejaCpvq
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
- Food Allowance: Volunteers will receive 200 € per month to self-manage their own food. The flats will have cooking facilities available. - Pocket Money: Volunteers will receive 6 € per day (180 € per month) for personal expenses. - Travel Budget: Approximately 360 € will be allocated per volunteer, to be discussed individually. - Health Insurance: Included for the duration of the volunteering period. - Trips and Leisure Activities: Some trips and leisure activities will be organized. - Vacation: Volunteers will have 3 vacation days to enjoy at the end of their period.
Training during the activity
1. On-Arrival Training: The first three days of the project include a dedicated training session aimed at familiarizing participants with each other, the volunteering program, and the local context of El Borge. 2. Language Immersion and Mentoring: In addition to the on-arrival training, there will be ongoing language immersion and mentoring sessions held in the evenings. 3. Participant profile
Participants are young people seeking new opportunities in their lives. Volunteers may be unemployed or facing educational, economic, social, or physical challenges, or they may have low language skills. We hope that volunteers are interested in organizing events for local communities. No previous experience is necessary; just an interest in trying it out and learning more! However, we are also seeking individuals with specific interests to create a team with great synergy. Some specific profiles of the team: - Interest in promoting healthy habits and physical activities, nutrition, etc. - Interest in environmental issues and climate change. - Interest in digital work (creating audiovisual content such as videos, podcasts, graphic design, etc.). - People with skills in handicrafts/gardening experience, etc. - People interested in education. - People interested in promoting their own culture with others. - People with an interest in rural development. - People interested in artistic expression (painting, theater, etc.). - English/Spanish language knowledge.
