The power of together

Assistant to volunteering projects in INEX-SDA 2026

INEX - SDRUZENI DOBROVOLNYCH AKTIVIT Z S

Praha, Czech Republic

Description

Every year INEX-SDA organizes approximately 30 international voluntary projects (workcamps) across the Czech Republic, where local and foreign volunteers support ecological, social, cultural-historical, and community projects. By organizing workcamps, educational programs, and campaigns, we contribute to a tolerant and open society and encourage an active and responsible approach to the world around us, both locally and globally. We create space where people can gain new experiences, expand skills, and develop understanding of the world’s complexity. Together with the Incoming Coordinator, you will carry out the organization of workcamps in the Czech Republic. You will be responsible for managing incoming applications and everything this process involves, actively communicating with volunteers and other organizations. You will also organize various events (approx. 2/month), work with ESC tools, facilitate workshops/presentations, and lead a workcamp.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will live in their own room in a shared and fully equipped flat in Prague. The accommodation will be located within a reachable distance from the office by public transport. The volunteer will get a monthly pocket money, food allowance and receive a public transport card.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will have full support from INEX-SDA staff during the whole duration of the project. A local mentor will also support the volunteer, especially in areas of integration and free time activities. The volunteer can participate in trainings and seminars organized by INEX-SDA - this way they can develop their communication and presentation skills, learn about volunteering in the Global South and develop skills related to the group-leading of international volunteers. Moreover, there are occasions in which volunteers are supposed to acquire the methods of non-formal education.

Participant profile

Our project is open to anyone with an interest in our activities and projects and a strong motivation to become an active member of our team. We welcome open-minded and flexible people with a willingness to learn and invest their energy and ideas into common goals and eventually develop their own project. The precision, thoroughness and consistency are must-have requirements. The volunteer needs to be able to work independently as well as in a team, communication skills are highly valued. Be prepared that most of the work is administrative and not in the field. To get inspired, you can read an article from our previous ESC volunteer in this position about her 1-year experience in Prague: https://www.inexsda.cz/en/novinky/european-solidarity-corps/one-year-in-prague-exploring-growing-and-saying-goodbye/
