Description

Project "Volunteering as a pathway to solidarity' aims to foster solidarity in the society emphasis to youngsters and brings together 3 volunteers to work in Tartu Youth Work Center in Estonia. Every volunteer will have his/her ´´home´´ youth center, where the volunteer will spend most of the working time. In youth centers the volunteers will lead at least one club related with his own interests and youth center focus themes( for example cooking club, adventure club etc.) and will help other youth workers with different tasks. The volunteer will have the opportunty to initiate some small events in the youth center, like cultural evening, movie night etc. In addition all the 3 volunteers will have twice a week meeting with our organisation project manager to help her to organise overcity events in Tartu. Once a week the volunteers have to organse one activity/club for the community in their youth center district.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

3 volunteers will share appartment in Tartu. Food and pocket money will be provided.

Training during the activity

Linguistic support Trainings and events provided by Estonian National Agency. Stuff events and meetings in Tartu Youth Work Center will be part of the project.

Participant profile

Tartu Youth Work Center is looking for volunteers aged 18-30 years old regardless of their origin, social, educational, economical and cultural obstacles. We highlight candidates willingness to learn, flexibility, open-mindedness and activism. Volunteers should have strong motivation for self development through carrying voluntary service. They should express motivation in discovering new culture, customs and traditions as well as learning a foreign language or improving their level. To apply send CV and motivational letter.
