Descripción de la actividad

The young volunteer will have two main activities. He/She will participate in the preparation of a Citizen Summit of European associations. Together with the European officers, this activity will include the identification of relevant associations, the planification of meetings and interviews, as well as participation in the logistical preparation of the event. The young volunteer will take part in a second activity, which is the follow-up of the recommandations formulated to elected representatives by young people during various events which have been welcomed in Strasbourg in the past years or are going to be welcomed in Strasbourg:, the project "Cities for you, CIties for Europe", organised thanks to the support of the "Europe for Citizens" programme of the European Union, but also the reception of 15 000 young people within the "You're Up!".

Alojamiento, manutención y transporte

The young volunteer will have his own bedroom in a Strasbourg student residence. The city of Strasbourg will make arrangements for meals and to make the moving of the voluneer easier through the city. French language courses will be provided through the online linguistic support.

Formación durante la actividad

The volunteer will take part at trainings organised by the National Agency. Before the beginning of his voluntary, he has to take part on a 2 weeks preparation, which included french courses, administrative tasks and many other interesting activities. This seminar is good to meet other volunteers. It's organised by the coordinating organisation ICE-RF. 2 months and 8 months after the beginning the volunteer is invited to take part on another seminars organised by ICE-RF.

Perfil del participante

Due to some cooperation between european cities, . - A motivated young boy or girl from 18 to 30 years old, - ready to give 9 months of your time to others. - interested in discovering French culture. You have: - basic knowledge in French language and would like to improve it. The volunteer has to come from a Partner city of Strasbourg
