Opis działania

TO APPLY CHECK THIS LINK WITH THE INFO: http://europaaqui.org/call-esc-volunteers-2020-2021/ We are looking for 3 volunteers to host in Asturias during 9,5 months from October 2020 till August 2021. The volunteers will support the activities promoted by the different projects for young people offered by the Youth Service of Avilés: cultural events, office work, Social Media, etc. and then they will have specific tasks depending on their role in the office. Volunteer 1 will be supporting " Participación Joven". The youth participation group analize and investigate about local topics that affects young people. Volunteer 2 will be supporting “Transit”. This project runs a group educational processes in high schools based on non-formal methods and on a one to one coaching approach with young people in NEET situation. Volunteer 3 will be supporting “El bosque comestible”. This project is an urban garden with the aim to raise awareness about environmental issues.

Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport

The volunteers will be accomodated in a private hostel managed by the Youth service that is located upstairs of their working place. Each volunteer will have their own room with private bathroom and they will share kitchen, living room and terrace. The volunteers will receive 180€ a month for food. When the activities of the project needs the use of transportation our organization will cover the costs. We accept volunteers with reduced mobility or special needs. Our accomodation and the office is adapted for wheel chair users.

Szkolenie w trakcie działania

On-arrival and mid-term trainings organized by Spanish NA. Curso "Monitor/a de tiempo libre" training might be a possibility. Our volunteers will have several options for specific trainings depending their needs and motivation. Each volunteer will receive specific training from their supervisor depending on the target group.

Profil uczestnika

Motivated to work face to face with a wide range of young people in a collaborative way and to be involved in activities (outdoor activities, creative workshops, meetings, etc) and sharing parts of their culture. Open to new experiences and challenges. Able to use social media, and IT. Willing to work flexibly including some evenings and weekends. A commitment to support colleagues and work as a team.
