Opis dejavnosti

DIACONIA CENTER IS LOOKING FOR 2 VOLUNTEERS AT COMMUNITY CENTER "WHITE WATERLILY" Activities for volunteer: - various activities with Day care center adult clients (language classes, workshops, help in soup kitchen etc) - assistance for activities with disable people (mental and physical disabilities) - activities building social skills for women in crisis pregnancy center (2nd floor of building)

Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz

Volunteers will live half an hour away from Day care center in private christian primary school (Christian David school). Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo

Volunteer will have two trainings offered by National Agency - on arrival training (2 month upon arrival) and midterm training (after 6th month) Additionally volunteer will have support from his mentor who will lead trough every day learning.

Profil udeleženca

Placement is located in Madona, not very big town, around 200 km from capital Riga. Volunteer has to be willing to live in calm and peaceful environment. Community center provides social help and free time activities for adults, many of them is with mental or physical disabilities. This year, 2020 center started to offer help women in crises pregnancy. Center provides premises for living up to one year, where women can learn necessary skills. For volunteer previous experience is not necessary, important is motivation and readiness to learn and grow. Love for human being would help a lot.
