Description
Volunteering for community empowerment is an Individual Volunteering Activity for the period of twelve months. The activity will start in January 2021 and volunteers will get a chance to develop skills in international youth work. They will join the IYNF office in Prague and get an overview of the structure of the international NGO , its cooperation within the Naturefriends network and other EU youth organisations, for example within the European Youth Forum network. They will be actively involved in the preparation, communication and organisation of the international volunteering activity in Italy on Elba Island in August 2021. IYNF is an international organisation bringing together Young Naturefriends and their organisations across Europe. It was established in 1975 and currently has 16 member and 12 partner organisations. With more than 120.000 young members organised in over a thousand local groups, it is one of the major European youth organisations. www.iynf.org
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will have paid accommodation and receive a monthly food allowance + pocket money. Your health insurance and the travel from and to your home country will also be covered by the European Solidarity Corps programme.
Training during the activity
The personal and professional development of the participants will be addressed in the following areas: - Improving time and project management skills - Developing social and communication skills thanks to working in international and intercultural teams - Learning how to work with different SM platforms, CMS, developing online communication and digital skills - Gaining an improved understanding of European matters, ESC and Erasmus+ program and widen knowledge about youth work
Participant profile
• You are resident one of these countries Turkey, Macedonia, Italy, Portugal, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Azerbaijan • You are aged between 18 and 30 years old (at the time of the start of the project - January 2021) • You are able to start your voluntary service in January 2021 • You have at least communicative knowledge of English • You are ready to commit to living in Prague for 12 months and occasionally travel to international IYNF activities • Availability to participate in "Eco Heroes” volunteering activity on Elba Island, Italy from August 21 - September 4, 2020)
