Beschreibung der Tätigkeit

La Feina is an association created in 2017, whose purpose is to perpetuate a place of life and reception for minors in difficulty. It is managed by a group of people who have chosen and experiment on a daily basis a way of life that is as environmentally friendly as possible. As this place is located in a rural mountain environment, the association works to set up activities in connection with the nearby environment and with the available resources. Within this eco hamlet, the volunteers will help finish the work of restoration of a typical barn in the area (outside masonry work), which is designed to host cultural events to support the hamlet and the entire territory. The missions will be to remove the old joints and apply new mortar to make the barn waterproof and show its original appearance! Beyond this masonry work, you will be immersed in the hamlet's life. You will help maintain the site, the vegetable garden, help with the picking and harvesting.

Beitrag zu Unterbringung, Verpflegung und Reisekosten

You will be accomodated in tents, in the eco-camping of the association. The tents will be provided. You will have to bring your camping equipment (ground sheet, sleeping bag, etc.). The campsite includes sanitary facilities (showers with solar-heated water, dry toilets) and a summer kitchen with a breathtaking view over the valley.You will use and do your own environmental-friendly hygiene and care products (soaps, toothpaste, laundry, etc.).You, volunteer, are actor/actress of your project ! You will manage the tasks of daily life in teams (shopping, cooking, and cleaning).

Fortbildung im Rahmen der Tätigkeit

Workshops will be proposed on the themes of sustainable development, solidarity and democratic participation during the project.

Teilnehmerprofil

Volunteers will be selected on an equal, fair, transparent and objective basis. The groups ethnicity, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, political views, social background, qualifications, skills and experience will not be taken into account in the selection of volunteers. An interest for masonry and for the environment's protection will be appreciated.
