The project offers a 2-month volunteer placement in Hyvärilä youth centre on the shore of beautiful lake Pielinen. The main task is to help youth workers run camp school activities, local youth work, and explore local culture. Volunteers have a creative task to interpret local culture through sounds and music together with local youth. Be prepared to meet new people, discover nature and participate in our environmental activities. We invite professionals from the field of culture and arts to share knowledge for the creative project task. We support learning and work every step of the way. A friendly and safe environment of Hyvärilä and beautiful nature around it creates an experience of a lifetime. Volunteer placement gives practical work experience and help to learn about the ways to develop professionally, make international connections and learn about other cultures.

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

Travel and accommodation costs, and pocket money (5 EUR per day) are covered by the programme. Accommodation for volunteers is in a separate house with own room, shared bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Meals are served in Hyvärilä youth centre restaurant: breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. Available options for various dietary restrictions.

Profilo del partecipante

The project is looking for motivated young individuals, who are eager to develop their artistic and creative skills, engage in team activities with young people from other countries, learn about different cultures and share their own culture with others. Interest in culture, history, arts and creativity will be a benefit. Love for nature, working with young people, and spending time in secluded and tranquil locations are essential!
