Communication, Social Media Management and Youth work

Activity description

We are searching for 1 volunteer to support us in our daily communication tasks: take pictures and videos of the events, create audiovisual materials from our activities, prepare, edit and publish content for social networks (instagram, tiktok, twitter, youtube), create, edit and translate the written and visual content for the website (articles, newsletters,...), create presentations and infographics. The volunteer will also support the promotion of youth mobility, do talks in schools and youth center to share her/his experience, be involved in the organisation of local and international activities, and support the office team on administrative tasks like searching and contacting partners, preparing documents, writing and answering emails.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

You’ll be living in a full equipped flat in the center of Terrassa, with other ESC volunteers. Some rooms are singles and some others are share (max 2 person). The flat is at 15/20 minutes of your working place. Some bikes are available to use. Working hours: 28h per week from monday to friday (2 smartworking days). The weekend is free, except for specific ocasions when we participate in fairs, local activities or host international projects. Training during the activity

Getting to know digital and graphic design tools; Getting to know a wide range of youth mobility opportunities; Discovering all the steps of the implementation of a youth international project locally (from the idea to the realisation); Getting to know all the phases of project management; Developing public speaking and leadership skills while preparing talks and facilitating activities; Training on the use of tools and methodologies of non-formal education to work; Catalan lessons; On-arrival and Mid-term training provided by Spanish National Agency.

Participant profile

DESIRED COMPETENCES: Strong motivation to participate in this project and to learn. Community management skills. Interest in making photos or videos of the activities happening in La Víbria. Knowledge about photos and video edition tools and Canva. Proactive to propose ideas and concepts. Some knowledge about website management (Wordpress). Good level of English. Like work in a team. Interest to learn more about international mobility opportunities and facilitation of activities of non-formal education. Motivation to learn Catalan.
