Unity-iOS, World Wide Village (Dali, Cyprus)

WWV is a a short term European Solidarity Corps project that will host 15 volunteers from different countries of Europe within the village of Dali, Cyprus. Dali is a large village in Cyprus, located south east of the capital Nicosia, which is unique to do its industrial and agricultural atmosphere. Here the volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about sustainable living and how to design a sustainable lifestyle. The volunteers will be involved in the organization of a festival, in activities relating to building, harvesting, upcycling and field work. WWV focuses on promoting environmental and agricultural issues, intercultural exchange, and active participation. Implicating volunteers from countries other than Cyprus will enhance the learning process and will bring attention to our goals of tolerance, acceptance, and awareness of cultural diversity leading to integration and intercultural experiences.

Настаняване, хранене и транспорт

Accommodation will be provided by the Coordinating/Hosting organization in the village of Dali. The volunteers will be sharing bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathrooms. For the duration of the project, each volunteer will receive Pocket Money and Food Allowance to cover food and personal costs. The travel costs are reimbursed by our organization (up to an amount, according to the distance band).

Обучение по време на дейността

Upon arrival, the volunteers are going to participate in an on-arrival training facilitated by the Coordinating/Hosting Organization.

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in sustainable living and are ready to undergo physical activity. The volunteers should be ready to: Learn and work with the locals; Gain experiences with farmers and hard working people; Enjoy nature and the local environment. Volunteers from any of the following backgrounds and not only are encouraged to apply: Welding, Design, Technical coordination, Performing Arts, Socially engaged art, Visual Arts, Social Science, Cooking and Culinary arts.
