Description
Aim of our organization is to promote the idea of volunteering and civic activity for the benefit of organizations, institutions and people as well as comprehensive support for people and institutions interested such activity. We are the only organization of this kind in Gdańsk and the only one supporting volunteering in the regional area. We are looking for 1 motivated person TO SUPPORT our organization in daily activities and in activities for other ECS volunteers. Although we are not EUROPEAN VOLUNTEER CAPITAL 2022 any more we keep up the good work! Therefore, you can work in the field of: GDANSK VOLUNTEER WEEK, charity events, international projects, ESC team volunteering projects as well as PROMOTING ESC, but main you tasks will be connected with help of ECS coordinator with Team volunteering projects and volunteers from coordinating organizations and with organization of integration events for ESC volunteers in Tri-city (Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot).
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will live together with other volunteers in a 3-room apartment, about 20 min by bus/tram from our office. You will share the room with one roommate. The flat is equipped in the most needed things. You will receive a monthly city card to travel around the city. We will provide You with the pocket money, food allowance and travel to/from Gdańsk and your country will be covered due to Erasmus+ distance calculator. Our office is located in the city center, with good public transportation connections. Please notice: duration of the project is 6-7 months.
Training during the activity
The project is unique learning experience. During the project you will take part in 2 training sessions: 1. ON ARRIVAL - to find out more about volunteering in Poland and to meet other volunteers 2. MID TERM - to evaluate your achievements during your stay in Poland (if your activity will be 6 month and more). Besides, during the project You will get: - a task-support coordinator who will help You with task-related issues; - a personal mentor who will support You during Your stay in Poland; - we will support you in learning language, to give entrance to on-line platform.
Participant profile
Our projects are generally open to young people who want to become volunteers in the 18-30 age range. Previous work experience and qualifications (especially in office work and doing presentations) may be useful, but not necessary. We are looking for dynamic, sociable, responsible, elastic people, who will help in office tasks. You should also be keen to work with different target groups, especially youth. Participants MUST be interested in working in VOLUNTARY FIELD. We offer wide range of activities which are based on various competences and give the opportunity for personal grow.
