Supporting youth work development in Rabka-Zdrój

The main idea for volunteers in small, beautiful, mountain town in Lesser Poland called Rabka-Zdrój is to contribute to the raise of youth opportunities here in town. Volunteers will be a driving force to work with young people in age of 13-20 living, learning, working in Rabka-Zdrój on developing their own initiatives, youth projects, cultural events, skills development activities. Volunteers (working in the group of 3 people) will manage youth center (test different locations), organise language animations, participate in local youth festivals and help Europe4Youth in international mobilities held in Rabka-Zdrój, in Training and Education Center that we run. What will you learn? How to organise youth work in small town, run non formal education activities, organise youth exchanges and festivals, how to apply quality in youth work and work on topics like youth policy development, empowerment etc.

Accommodation will be provided in the lovely 3-persons apartment 10 minutes walking from the main location of the activities - Training and Education Center ReZone in Rabka-Zdrój. The flat is located in the beautiful wooden house, renovated, with windows turned to the mountains and sunset. The owner is very friendly and likes young people :-) The allowance for food in the amount 450 PLN per month will be given to volunteers, who have kitchen and all necessary facilities in the flat. We cover transportation costs to the venue and back until the travel costs limits of Erasmus+ rules.

Volunteers are offered with on arrival training organised by polish National Agency, but will also undergo adaptation trainings in Europe4Youth, which contains: - history and diversity of work of Europe4Youth is doing, - youth work values, principles, standards and how we do it in Europe4Youth, - youth work skills development, - youth information and opportunities (you will be informing about them young people in Rabka), - gamification of education, eduLARP methodology and other cool methods we use, - project management in social work.

We are looking for 3 persons with desire to become youth workers in the future. We offer strong professional preparation and great doze of practice. What matters for us is motivation and ability to turn on creativity, responsibility and initiative, as everything that you will do (within the framework of youth work) belongs to you (idea, implementation, evaluation) - of course with our support and resources, but not leadership. We want to invest in you by sharing knowledge, skills, resources and possibility to use the in practice taking up responsibilities.
