Volunteer for Communications and Funding

Descrição das atividades

We provide support to young refugees and asylum seekers in different aspects of their inclusion in society through various programs and activities. Some of our activities include social mentorship, career advising, help in active job search, legal advising, digital education, soft-skills workshops... We're looking for a volunteer who'll support us and our beneficiaries through communications-related activities. The person in this position will work on our social media pages, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook, but also prepare a communication for other channels and promo materials. The volunteer will also take photos and videos and will work on fundraising events, support our staff with writing applications for funding calls as well as actions for the promotion of our initiatives.

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

Travel costs will be covered. The volunteer will be given monthly food money and pocket money which will be predetermined. The volunteer will be accommodated in the house with other volunteers (a possibility of sharing a room with another volunteer of the same sex). A bicycle will be given to a volunteer for public transport.

Formação durante a atividade

Some of the skills that volunteers will gain through the project are the following: - creative skills - organizational skills - photography - problem-solving skills - improved communication skills - digital skills - learn about EU and other funding opportunities. The organization organizes onboarding training for all the volunteers. An On arrival and Mid-term training will be provided by Croatian National Agency and pre-departure training for the volunteer will be organized by the supporting organization.

Perfil do participante

We're looking for somebody who has a passion for writing, communications and media (new and traditional); previous experience or interest in photography; a strong interest in working in an NGO sector with groups with fewer opportunities; is responsible with delivering tasks on time. The previous interest in the field of communications, languages and similar through educational, working and/or volunteering experiences will be considered a plus. The previous experience in working with refugees is not that important but will be considered as a plus if all other criteria are met.
