EggenLend - Community Centre in Graz, Austria

"Live sustainability and strengthen neighborhood" is the motto of Community Centre EggenLend, which offers the residents of the district in Graz a space for information, participation and community. It's a place for welcoming everyone. Our broad activity offer is aimed at increasing the quality of life, developing social networks in the community and foster civic engagement. We take care of Free-of-Charge shop, which is run by volunteers; promote cycling; organise game events and other activities; promote food-sharing and zero-waste initiatives. The volunteer will assist the team in organizing community events, get in touch with people from different backgrounds and of different generations, and take actions in sustainability projects, such as Free-of-charge shop, open book shelves, and others. We expect him/her to be open-minded, sensitive to different cultures, communicative and organised. Apply only to esc@logo.at. Requests to another emails are not considered.

Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

Volunteer will live in a student's dormitory and will receive a food allowance, as well as pocket money. S/he will use bike to go to the workplace.

Formation pendant l’activité

A volunteer will attend d On-Arrival and Mid-term trainings, organised by a national agency. S/he will be able to attend a german language course. On going support will be offered at a workplace.

We look for a mature and enthusiastic volunteer, who can work with people form different backgrounds and generations, support sustainability projects and organise events. s/he should be organised and helpful with simple tasks such as sorting clothes, tidying space, etc. Intercultural openess is a must, basic knowledge of German and other languages is an advantage.
