Descrição das atividades

The volunteers mostly work in non-formal activities, they offer workshops in art, music, language and culture, they are involved in the physical education and in the group of student representatives. They are also involved in the administration and through their presence in the school they leave a big impact. All volunteers take part in every aspect of everyday work at the school: - Work in the registration office - Tutoring students and helping them with their homework - Presenting in classrooms - Helping out in the school library - Accompanying students on school trips (yes, they got to go to UK and Italy and France with some groups!) - Organization of sport, music or art events - helping the maintenance guy – keeping the school nice and new and clean - project on diversity: develop a project to make the diversity of the school visible - there is the possibility to get involved in the activities of the refugee support group in Bad Wurzach

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

The two ESK volunteers share a flat in Bad Wurzach. They receive money to buy their own food. The volunteers receive a bus ticket for the region of Bad Wurzach. Please be aware that Bad Wurzach is a rural town, bus connections to other, bigger towns are not regular.

Formação durante a atividade

The volunteers take part in the two ESC seminars and they can attend a language class at the university of Weingarten.

Perfil do participante

You have to be fine with living in a small town! There are some bars and restaurants and above all there are teachers and an amazing tutor who are really doing their best that volunteers don’t get bored in their free time! Ideally you already know some German A2/B1 (it is enough if you have learnt in school), if you play an instrument and do a sport this is good for integration as well! Apart from that you should be motivated and active - the school really wants the volunteers to bring in own ideas and start new projects.
