Project Friendship

Opis dejavnosti

Volunteers will work in Kokkola and surrounding villages in schools and kindergartens with the theme of friendship. They are going to plan and lead functional workshops about friendship and interaction skills. Volunteers work with the people they meet to think about what a good friend is like, how to maintain a friendship, and how to create friendships. Volunteers should be interested in working with people of different ages. There is no need of previous experiences, just an interest to volunteer, trying new possibilities in life and learn more is enough!

Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz

During the project volunteers will live together in beautiful location of Villa Elba. The accommodation is organized in comfortable cottages for eight persons. All meals are served during on-arrival training. After that volunteers will get daily lunch on a working basis from Monday to Friday. Volunteers will plan and cook other meals together (food money for groceries are provided). Volunteers will work for approx. 35 hours/week. Sometimes work can appear in evenings or weekends. Travel compensation is paid depending on the distance. Volunteers will receive pocket money 5 € /day.

Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo

In the beginning of the project volunteers will have on-arrival training at Youth Centre Villa Elba. During training participants will get to know each other, learn about ESC and take a closer look at the aim of the project as well as learn about volunteer's rights and responsibilities. Also volunteers will get Finnish lessons in order to learn basic words and sentences.

Volunteering activities helps you to broaden your picture the world and gives you chance to develope your multicultural skills. You improve your English and gain more confidence to act in various situations. By participating in the project, you develop many useful skills related to working life, teamwork and living abroad.
