Vivre Ensemble Ici et Ailleurs // International projects with youth

Activity description

Vivre Ensemble Ici et Ailleurs (Living Together Here and Elsewhere) is a project created by Parcours le Monde which aims at promoting intercultural dialogue, diversity, and sustainable development across the Pays de la Loire region of France, directly to young French people. The VEIA volunteers are located throughout the entire region, in high schools, community centers, and small NGOs that work closely with young people. All the volunteers all work under the common VEIA mission, and participate together in some intercultural events, or during the regional gatherings. Right now we are looking for a volunteer in the city of Nantes ! Examples of missions include: - Workshops on citizenship and international solidarity - Information sessions on international mobility for young people - Participating in forums, seminars, summer job fairs… - Participate in the promotion of the experiences of young people who have traveled abroad We are now looking for a volunteer in Nantes !

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

* Accommodation: Shared or single appartment in town fully furnished and equiped * Food: The volunteers will have money every month to do their shopping at the supermarket. They will be independent for shopping and cooking. They will have kitchens available in their accommodation. *Local transport: the tutor will help the volunteer in order to benefit from transport at reduced prices (TAN, SNCF) throughout their stay. Transport costs related to the mission will be covered.

Training during the activity

The volunteers will participate in several regional gatherings : - Thematic training to learn the basic tools of popular education, - Two days of Civic and Citizenship training about mobility and interculturality, - PSC1 first aid training

Participant profile

- Someone aged between 18 and 25 years old; - Someone who is motivated, curious, dynamic and willing to take part in volunteering! - Someone interested in working with young people, sharing its experience, promoting interculturality, - Speaking French is not a requirement, as you will definitely learn-by-doing !
