Tinemobilul - Fury Road

Activity description

Tinemobilul - the first and the only Mobile Youth Centre in Romania - is waiting for a team of 4 volunteers to embark on a journey to bring youthwork closer to young people living in far and isolated communities, in Prahova county, Romania. It is a 3 months volunteering service in which 4 volunteers will get ready to bring nonformal learning and personal development opportunities to youngsters that cannot reach our youth centers due to high distances, lack of means of transport or economical obstacles. This project takes the experience with Tinemobilul one step further and builds on previous experiences in which the mobile youth center went already around in the area, brought games, competitions, workshops, cinema nights to youngsters and children that did not even dream that they could do something like this, close to their homes. The volunteers will plan and implement activities, by working in team and going in the area around.

Ordninger for innkvartering, mat og transport

- reimbursement of travel costs up to 180/275 or 360 euro in the end of the stay - accommodation in a house in our village together with the rest of the volunteers - food allowance and pocket money - local transport bus permits and car when needed for activities + the Mobile Youth Centre - complementary medical insurance

Training during the activity

- mentor support during the entire service - Romanian language training - coordination support, materials for activities and equipment - task-related trainings such as teambuilding, health and security, event management, basic youthwork and group dynamics, communication etc - safe driving training

Participant profile

- aged 18-30 - motivation for international volunteering - strong motivation to work and live in a rural area - availability and motivation for a 10 moths mobility - strong interest in learning a different European language - motivation in developing new competencies and learning about community development - having at least basic English communication skills, spoken and written - having a drivers license for at least 3 years is a strong point - motivation to learn about youthwork and work with young people and children in villages
