Non-formal activities for children - Long-term volunteering

Descrição das atividades

In this project you can take part in volunteering acivities such as organizing daily non-formal educational, child-centered activities for the children and young people from the placement centers (orphanages), primary schools and kindergartens of disadvantaged areas in Resita. The activities are designed to develop the children's skills, competences, creativity, as well as to increase involvement, participation, tolerance and acceptance. Besides, the volunteers will organize activities in our youth center aimed to involve the local young people into social activities, to facilitate the interaction between the young people in the placement centers and locals. During summer the volunteers are going to facilitate summer camps for children (in different topics)

Comparticipação nas despesas de alojamento, alimentação e transporte

The volunteers will be hosted in a rented apartment, with double bedrooms. In the apartment there are all the necessary conditions for a good life - such as kitchen equipment, separate bathtoom, wifi etc. Renting fee and utilities (water, gas, electricity, internet) will be paid by the hosting NGO. Local transport passes will be provided by the hosting NGO.: Pocket money: 90€/month + food allowance:150€/month.

Formação durante a atividade

During the project, volunteers will participate in an on-arrival training as well as a mid-term evaluation, both organised by the Romanian National Agency, for one week each. The sending and host organisations will inform the volunteers about all the particularities of volunteering, Youthpass and Europass CV. All volunteers will receive mentorship sessions as well as a Romanian language course. Throughout the project, the volunteers will improve on their intercultural, linguistic, organisational and entrepreneurial competences.

Perfil do participante

- aged between 18 and 30 - flexible, open-minded, tolerant, communicative - interested in gaining experience in pedagogy, non-formal education and in working with young people - eager to learn new things and to share their experience - willing to work in teams or individually with initiative and creativity - want to help young people - ready to fight against exclusion, prejudices and stereotypes - at least having beginner level of English knowledge
