PLEASE APPLY VIA OUR ONLINE FORM: https://www.kinderstadt.md/infos/volunteering-esc The European Youth Educational Center Magdeburg (EJBM) is looking for 30 volunteers from different countries to join our volunteering team from the 1st to the 28th of August 2022. During those four weeks, you will have the chance to live at the EJBM in Magdeburg in an international environment, to organize and accompany the project „European Children's City“ (Kinderstadt). Within the project children between the ages of 8 and 14 can playfully learn about city life and must deal with democratic voting processes and topics such as social co-existence, work and wages, self-determination and co-determination. In the park area behind our EJBM, only children are in charge! The only adults are supervisors (maybe you?) who will support the children in their play and help them to implement their ideas. Modalités d'hébergement, de restauration et de transport

FACTS ABOUT THE VOLUNTEERING TEAM: 30 young people (18-30 years) from different countries > you will be joined by approx. 80 young Germans who will also support Kinderstadt // accommodation in shared bedrooms (3-4 individuals per room), access to a private shower at EJBM // regular pocket money (5.00 EUR/day), food and the possibility to cook will be provided // you will be reimbursed for your travels up to a fixed amount depending on the travel distance between your home town and Magdeburg

Formation pendant l’activité

THERE IS A MANDATORY ONLINE COURSE TO ATTEND BEFORE THE ACTUAL VOLUNTEERING: course option 1: 16th and 17th June, 10-13 am and 3-5 pm OR // course option 2: 23rd and 24th June, 10-13 am and 3-5 pm // During the volunteering, you will have plenty opportunity to learn more about ESC volunteering, life in Germany, yourself TASKS: building up/setting up or dismantling the „European Children's City“, which will take place from 8th to 19th August 2022 (please check time table via the link above) // support kids in over 40 professions and experience what happens to a city run entirely by children

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO are 18+, outgoing and willing to enjoy the summertime in Germany with people from all around Europe // like international environment and are happy to represent their country/region // are willing to work and also do some handiwork // are interested in learning German/speak German a little // will join an online course on being a part of Kinderstadt beforehand (course option 1: 16th and 17th June, 10-13 am and 3-5 pm OR course option 2: 23rd and 24th June, 10-13 am and 3-5 pm)
