VOLUNTEERING FOR GROWTH

Activity description

Are you interested in working with young people from all over #Europe? Do you want to fight against #racism and #sexism and for a sustainable #future? Do you want to promote #European values and #democracy? Are you interested in youth work and learn more about it? You will work with an international, dynamic team where you are able to bring in your own ideas and creativity. At the same time you will develop personally and improve your language skills! The main part you’ll work on is the help the organisation daily work tasks - for example social media posts, organise language clubs, excursions, help fair trade and second hand clothe shop & recycling clothes. Also, you will work with us on our electronic AJ inter journal. This includes the whole process from deciding about its content to the layout and writing articles. When we have Erasmus+ projects, you will also have tasks in some workshops to develop your skills.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The volunteer will be accommodated in a flat with other ESC volunteers. The flat is fully equipped with 4 separate bedrooms, a shared kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. Each person will have its own bedroom.  The host organization takes in charge the costs of his/her accommodation. Each volunteer will have their own bicycles and volunteers will be using it for his/her personal transportation. Home is located close to the center and it will be a 15 to 20 minutes bicycle ride to our office. Volunteers will be receiving pocket money and food allowance.

Training during the activity

Volunteer will be joining arrival training and midterm evaluation in Spain. We will also help volunteer to learn editing programs. Selected volunteer will be learning about Erasmus+ opportunities , youth work and informal education.

Participant profile

We are looking for open-minded, creative and responsible young people who speak English (or spanish) and want to improve their soft skills. The volunteers should have an interest in youth work and be eager to work in an office where we prepare activities, respond to emails and promote Erasmus+ projects through social media. This project is meant for young people who would like to gain experience, learn new skills and connect with other volunteers from all over Europe.
