Activity description

Supporting learning about other cultures, representing another nationality, introducing it, introducing songs from children's repertoire and games, familiarization with simple words or phrases in the national language - action bilateral. Preparation of a presentation based on photos, music, short films presenting the volunteer's country of origin Teaching and sensitizing to tolerance, respect. Participation in afternoon activities - culinary circle - learning about traditional Polish dishes, introducing children with traditional dishes from the volunteers' regions of origin Joint trips to the museum, cinema, theater trips.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

ACCOMMODATION / FOOD Volunteers will live in the apartments we rent. Volunteers will live in dauble rooms, a bathroom and a kitchen will be shared with other volunteers. They will prepare their meals on their own, they will have eztra money for the products. LOCAL TRANSPORT Volunteers living in Lębork will not have to use public transport. If they live near Lębork, monthly tickets will be provided.

Training during the activity

Volunteers will take place in on-arrival and mid-term trainings organised by Polish National Agency.

Participant profile

In selecting volunteers for our project, we will be guided primarily by the motivation of candidates to work with people at risk of social exclusion, especially children, young people and old citizens. We expect volunteers to be open, communicating, patient and highly motivated to work in different organizations.. They should also be independent and prepared for a variety of work. We appreciate creativity and our own initiative. It is good if the volunteer has the basic English skills and is ready to learn Polish, which is very helpful in the everyday lives of volunteers.
