Interculturality in schools

The Relais Brenne Initiatives Jeunes is a youth organisation in a rural area in Center France. The leaders support teenagers in organising their own leisure, and they also organise some camps during holidays. We work a lot with the schools, and the mission of the volunteer will be connected to primary and middle schools. The volunteer will : - organise some english workshops for kids from 3 to 10 years old every Tuesday and Thursday in two different schools. - organise some english worshops in the middle school (not the whole year) in link with the english teacher - take part in some project to promote volunteering with young people in France, specially with the "services civiques" which is a national civil service. The volunteer will meet the service civiques to present the European solidarity corps. - take part in other activities at school (for exemple the european week in a middle school where we organise every year a worshop to present your country)

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

Flatmate in Le Blanc city center with two other volunteers. You will have your own room but share kitchen and bathroom with the other volunteers. Internet will be provided in your flat. You will receive 360€ pocket money for leisure and food. A car will be at the disposal of volunteers. If you have your own laptop, please take it. If not, we will lend you one but it will be a french keyboard :)

Formazione durante l'attività

The volunteer will have the opportunity to take part in different trainings : - the arrival and mid-term trainings organised by the french national agency - the "Formation civique et citoyenne" with is a french local training for the french voluntary program called "service civique". The ESC will take part in this training with the french volunteers.

Profilo del partecipante

Volunteers should be motivated, open-minded and ready to work with children. Having an experience with kids and/or education with kids would be appreciate. A good level of english is required. Applicants must have the driving licence to go to the schools. Someone who takes the initiative will be more than welcome.
