Saaremaa Youth Work Center

Opis działania

Saaremaa Youth Work Centre is an umbrella organisation for all the youth centres of Saaremaa - the volunteer will be mostly in Kuressaare, but will have the chance to visit the other centres as well. Youthcentre of Kuressaare, Noortejaam goal is to provide different open youth work services to give possibility to organise leisure time for young people aged 7-26, in order to support their involvement in society and coping in social life. The ideas should come from the youngsters and/or based on their needs and interests. It is very important to support young people’s initiative. We expect that volunteer will enrich youth center open area activities with her/his competences, skills and interests. Like carrying out workshops in youth center and occasionally in other youth centers in Saaremaa – cooking, handicraft, recycling workshops - according to volunteer´s skills, experience, interests. Activities that expand the image of the world for the youth.

Zakwaterowanie, wyżywienie i transport

The volunteer will be living in an apartment in Kuressaare, which has all necessary living equipment. Kuressaare is a town on Saaremaa island in Estonia, with around 13000 inhabitants in the town. The volunteer will receive monhtly food and pocket money, local transportation is also covered.

Szkolenie w trakcie działania

Volunteer will take part of the on-arrival training and mid-term meeting organized by Estonian National agency.

Initiative, willing to work in team, willing to work with young people. Open-minded and flexible, good at communication and starting conversations. Self-motivating, adaptable and self-analysing.
