Animating an internationalised cultural dynamic in rural areas

Two French organisations, Bouillon Cube and the Communauté de Communes du Pic St Loup, are hosting 2 European volunteers to lead socio-cultural activities in the village of Causse de la Selle. The missions are as follows: - participate in the mediation and organization of cultural events at La Grange and Pic Saint Loup (organization of the cultural season of Bouillon cube, organization and animation of artistic education actions, promotion of the activities and involvement of local players) - lead awareness activities in a formal or non-formal educational contexts, with an audience of 11 to 25 year olds - to promote international mobility and talk about their experience as ESC volunteers to young people aged 16 to 25 - to take part in various events and projects of the host associations Each volunteer is given the opportunity to take the initiative and to develop and invest in activities that interest them personally.

Akkomodazzjoni, ikel u arranġamenti tat-trasport

Volunteers will have a 35 hours / week schedule, including weekends. They will have two days off per week, and also two days off per month. Volunteers will be accommodated on the Causse de la Selle in a caravan, with a shared bedroom. They will have access to a common room (where they can eat, rest, cook,...) and a shared bathroom. The toilets are outside, in the garden (dry toilets). They have a car at their disposal and can carpool (no public transport). The volunteer receives pocket money and his/her food allowance at the beginning of each month, and manage his/her budget independently.

We have distinguished 3 types of learning opportunities for the young participants in our project : - knowledge : learning French and English, to lead and coach young people, about the French territorial and institutional division - life skills : open-mindedness, openness to others and to new cultures, ability to adapt to other operating modes, community living and adaptability, patience and perseverance -know-how : communication tools, project methodology, pedagogy, organisation of cultural events, tools of mediation specific to artistic and cultural education

Profil tal-parteċipant

It is desirable that volunteers : - have a sensitivity to artistic and cultural practices - have a real interest in youth activities, in the organisation of events - appreciate the rural environment, adopt an ecological lifestyle on a daily basis, a lifestyle based on a collective functioning with precise rules of life valid for all - have the ability to adapt, autonomy and initiative - have an interest in teamwork - have motivation, team spirit and above all a real desire to adapt within a French associative structure.
