Activity description
The project is promoted and developed by YUPI. YUPI was born in 2008 with the mission of empowering young people to be active and responsible citizens in building a more tolerant, inclusive and sustainable society. This is an opportunity to join the YUPI team and help in organising and coordinating some projects that will occur in June and July, as well as helping with the social media communication and promotion of those events/projects. The volunteer will be accommodated in a single apartment in Fornelos (Fafe) with single room, access to bathroom and kitchen. Towels, sheets, blankets and Wi-Fi are provided. During lunch, vegetarian food will be provided at EKOA, a school closed to the house (at 2min by walk), the dinner will be prepared by the volunteer (or taking extra lunch from school). Pocket money will be provided by the Hosting Organization as well as costs of travel, accommodation, food, local transportation and activities. The environmental way of travelling (train, bus, etc.) is strongly encouraged.Training during the activity
During the project the volunteer will receive a training, provided by YUPI, in order to improve quality implementation. Also, the language course of Portuguese language will be offered via OLS platform, before arrival, as well as during stay in Portugal in a way to be easier to get involved in daily activities with the target groups, as well as with the local community. We support each volunteer with individual Portuguese lessons.Participant profile
We are looking to host 1 volunteer, openminded, motivated, proactive, responsible, communicative, creative and able to work either alone and in a team. A person who already has experience in an international environment and likes to organise things. This project is for you if you are interested in: communication, team work, international environment, event organisation. Digital skills and previous experience in the associativism field are welcomed. Communicative English is required.Activity dates
