Volunteer work
Aizkraukles novada Interešu izglītības centrs
Aizkraukle, Latvia
Description
The idea of our project is based on two directions: 1. provision of high-quality and meaningful free time in daily work with young people, using non-formal education methods; 2. to create and improve environmentally friendly habits, focusing on sustainable management. The center plans and organizes events, projects and other types of activities in the municipality, ensuring high-quality and meaningful leisure time in daily work with young people, such as discussion evenings, self-development and team building events, creative master classes, game days, sports, etc. Our vision is to create "greener" and more environmentally friendly habits, focusing on sustainable farming. In 2022, we started creating community gardens and a "green" room in the center with flower pots for various herbs and medicinal plants. And in the future, we would like to improve our idea and invite other people to become more and more involved in improving the environment of our community.
