IMPORTANT: To finalise your application, please fill-up the form here https://bit.ly/1highroad ONLY FOR AVAILABLE COUNTRIES + UKRAINE High Road” is a Volunteering Teams in High Priority Areas project whose activities will be held in different towns in Sicily. The project will last a total of 59 days during the summer period from 04 June to 03 August 2023. We will select as many as 44 volunteers from different EU member states, including Italy. The call is open only to residents of EU countries + Ukraine. The main highlight of the project is an organized itinerant group action in different areas of Sicily, intended to intimately acquaint with its customs and traditions, savour its soul and contribute to addressing various challenges! The aim of the project is to raise awareness about health prevention and healthy and positive lifestyles, using the tools of Non-Formal Education, in peripheral areas of Europe. Candidacies coming from not listed countries will not be evaluated.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

The project will be implemented in different areas of inner Sicily. For all of them, Strauss will cover accommodation and food for all the volunteers. Volunteers will be involved in activities 5 days per week, with a maximum of 35 working hours. Volunteers will get a pocket money. Food will be covered. Internal transportation is covered by Strauss APS Travels will be refunded according to specific travel distance band as the 2021 European Solidarity Corps guide

Training during the activity

Pre-departure preparation provided by Supporting Organizations Welcome Training, Task-related preparation during the first week of activities; Mid-term Evaluation around the 4th week of activities and Final Evaluation at the end of the action.
