CLIVE- Combating Loneliness & Isolation with Volunteers in Europe

Opis dejavnosti

CLIVE, a project funded by the European Solidarity Corps, offers young people the opportunity for a two-week volunteering experience. During the 14 days of service you will have the opportunity to get to know the rich world of social volunteering in Asti which in 2022 was one of the four finalists for the title of European capital of volunteering. You will be provided with an overview of the realities active in the voluntary sector. You will be asked to provide service to the following beneficiaries: families with socio-economic difficulties; frail elderly; women and minors in difficulty; disabled. Asti is located in the middle of hilly landscapes that have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A tour will be organized to admire them. You will arrive on the weekend during which the "Festival delle Sagre" takes place. It is a gastronomic and cultural event that attracts many tourists. You can volunteer or participate as a tourist.

Nastanitev, prehrana in prevoz

Location: Casa Tabor. A beautiful hostel surrounded by nature and not far from the city center. The hostel will host 15 young people who will share rooms, a kitchen and use the common areas (including an outdoor area) to organize service activities and share free time. Lunch will be provided directly at the place of the voluntary activities. Food allergies and dietary needs will be taken into consideration. Breakfast and dinner at Casa Tabor. Pocket money: €5 per day. All volunteers will have a bicycle at their disposal as well as an accompanying service from voluntary associations.

Usposabljanje med dejavnostjo

You will receive information on the volunteer service that will be required of you. The activities will be illustrated to you both theoretically and by supporting the volunteers. In the end your baggage of experience will be richer. The meetings at the beginning and during the activity will serve to provide information, share experiences and provide the necessary support. You will have a reference tutor.

Profil udeleženca

We are looking for people, aged between 18 and 30, who know how to work in a team, respecting rules and roles. We are looking for proactive, motivated, empathetic, creative people with good communication skills. Young people interested in volunteering and have interests in the social field. The project is open to profiles with fewer opportunities please indicate it in the motivation letter (see: shorturl.at/dfrvw). Previous service experience and qualifications may be helpful but not necessary.
