Nuoret Kotkat (NKK) is looking for two European Solidarity Corps -volunteers for 4-6 months of volunteering in Helsinki, Finland. Finnish Falcon Movement (Nuoret Kotkat) will turn 80 years in 2023. We are looking for two volunteers to work on communications and camp preparations. The theme of the camp is Together. The volunteering period will begin in May and end between late August and November. You will mostly work at the central office in Helsinki but also attend the camp in Nurmes 21.7.–2.8.2023 and other events. The positions consist of versatile communications tasks and can be tailored to meet your special skills and interests. You will work on social media and other communications of the anniversary camp and the organization. You can also help us support the international groups joining the camp and help with the camp program. If you stay for more than 4 months, you will also work on youth democracy, anniversary seminar and other events after the camp. We work in english

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We will provide you accommodation in Helsinki area with your own room in a shared apartment. You will get food allowance that you can use to buy food, money for public transportation and the pocket money monthly. APPLICATIONS ONLY THROUGH PORTAL PLEASE!

Training during the activity

We will train you for your job and support you and your learning throughout the exchange period. You will participate in arrival training 22.-27.5.2023. We will help you to find language training for finnish language in Helsinki or online.

Participant profile

You are 18-30 -years old. We will work in English, so you should have good written and oral English skills. You like to write and are interested in communications, especially social media. Maybe you enjoy taking photos and videos too. You like to work with and for children and youth. You are willing to work mostly in an office. No specific educational background is required. The most important merit is your motivation! You support children’s rights and our values, which are equality, democracy, internationalism, justice, solidarity and community. Our movement has roots in labour movement.
