Descrierea activității

Volunteers, in consideration of their background and learning objectives will be included in different activities of Orizzonti Cooperativa. In the Hospitality of asylum seekers Area: volunteers are likely to work in the management of a flat, taking care of different aspects: from daily needs to legal practices necessary to ask for international protection. Integration paths to asylum seekers: accompanying them to the main service centers to renew documents, medical visits, guidance activities on the territory; training activities aimed at working in the labor-market, at civic education, food education, and health education. Organization of workshops to be included in the various contexts of intervention or to be implemented ad hoc on the basis of volunteers’ skills. Communication activities: support for community management on social media, designing presentations and reports with regard to ongoing services.

Cazare, hrană și transport

The volunteer will live in a shared flat in Padova with other international volunteers or local/Italian people, will live in a single or double room upon availability and have the use of a kitchen, bathroom and of the common spaces of the house (wi-fi is not always guaranteed). He/She will monthly receive some money to buy food and pocket money. He/She will have a bus card to move around in the city.

Profilul participantului

Volunteers with different backgrounds such as age, gender, previous experience, study path, and so on will be welcome. And there will be no discrimination against gender, religion, political or sexual orientation. However, the knowledge of Italian language will be appreciated. The choice of volunteers will be made on the basis of their motivation, interest and the willingness to play an active role in their project.
