Long term volunteering - spend summer in Croatia 3 months all paid

Activity description

This project is divided in 2 parts: one in the town and one in the summer camp with the main focus on the art, culture, environmental protection and of course lots of fun along the way. To be more precise, Volunteers will be helping with cleaning Alfa Albona summer camp area (cutting the grass, making more places for the tents), maintaning the field (preparing the field for the camp), putting up the tents (we need to put around 40 tents), building the outdoor facilities and outdoor activities place,... Apart from that, in days that we have groups of young people, volunteers will be helping with animation of the groups, organizing activities, animation, preparing the meals (cooking) and serving, cleaning, help with hiking trips, water activities, etc. One part of June volunteers will help with indie rock festival Indirekt and also with Biennale of art with other local institutions.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

In June, the accommodation is in the town of Labin in shared flat with other volunteers, while July and August is in the campsite Tunarica in single tent that is fully equipped for comfortable living. In June volunteers will receive money for food, while staying in the camp the food will be provided. Volunteers will receive pocket money, visa and health insurance as well as the costs for their travel will be paid.

Training during the activity

Lots of opportunity to learn how to lead an ngo, team work, youth programmes... All depending on the volunteer wishes and needs.

Participant profile

Young people aged 18-30, interested in the nature, art and culture, with open heart and open mind, willing to volunteer in different activities, can organise time for themselves, can work individually and in the team, are willing to have new expereinces and share their knowledge.
