Alianza por la Solidaridad, member of ActionAid, aims to achieve an active citizenship that fights against inequalities and for the recognition of human rights. Alianza's work in Palestine focuses on combating gender-based violence from a holistic perspective, including awareness-raising, improving opportunities for women and multi-sectoral care for survivors of gender-based violence, among others. Join us at our offices in Palestine! You will support in the work of formulations and justifications, monitoring of projects and activities, information management, etc. You will have the chance to work with a professional team in a complex context that allows for a large and rapid learning process. At the end of your experience you will be familiar with the project cycle of development cooperation and/or humanitarian action. You will work with local partners in Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem

Szállás, étkezés és utazás

You will have the opportunity to live with other people but with individual bedroom. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the organization and phone card will be provided. The house will be in East Jerusalem. You will receive a monthly allowance of 950€ for your personal expenses, including food and local transport. There is a big variety of transport, all of them safe, which can be used in daily life. There is freedom of movement but always complying with the security directives. You will also be covered with a health insurance (Henner).

Képzés a tevékenység során

You will receive training which will cover topics such as: induction to Alianza por la Solidaridad, induction to the European Solidarity Corps, responsibilities and rights of the organisations and of the volunteer, Youthpass, Henner insurance and SHEA. In addition you will be trained more specifically in feminist principles and other training opportunities which may include : International Humanitarian Law, security management, gender, disabilities, etc.).

Résztvevői profil

We are looking for a person eager to learn and work in a team and able to adapt to a multicultural and diverse environment who respects the different cultures and societies found in Palestine. Motivation in developing project cycle management skills and basic knowledge in development cooperation and/or humanitarian aid and any previous experience would be an asset. Fluent in English and able to adapt to complex situations. If you are migrant, live in rural areas, have limited economic support or any other don´t hesitate to sign up, this opportunity is for everyone!
