Join Our Artistic Movement: Fundraiser for Art Town

Activity description

There are communities that do not have museums or spaces adapted to the needs of youth. Our town is one of them. Back in 2009, we started with just one volunteer equipped with only a pen and paper, but with a strong will to make the town more exciting. That's all you need: will. To build a town where young people thrive and enjoy life. Over time, we grew, sometimes doing 370 events in one year, other times only one project. Right now, our project is to open the first Art Town with the help of youth all over the world. Changing the world one community at a time. If you have fundraising skills, an interest in art, and a desire to join our team, we are thrilled to host you for six months! Our project is unique, as you will be working towards a great purpose with a large team of people. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We will provide accommodation in double room, in our youth center (Act House, Cucuteni no.8, oraș Târgu Frumos, jud. Iași, Romania) - check it in 3D: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=qfesimaqz6c. You will receive 150 euro/month (food money) and 4 euro/per day (pocket money). These money are enough for the living standards in Târgu Frumos. We will reimburse the travel costs based on a lump sum and we will help you figure out how to reach us. Târgu Frumos is a small and safe town, close to Iaşi. Iași is the second biggest city in Romania and it is considered the cultural capital of Romania.

Training during the activity

Our training programs include Romanian language, leadership, project management, and two trainings provided by the Romanian National Agency. You'll also have the chance to collaborate with other passionate volunteers and learn from former Arts Lab participants about their unique experiences. Our volunteers frequently describe Arts Lab as a life-changing experience, and we're committed to staying in touch for the long term. In fact, we're already planning a conference for all 100 Arts Lab volunteers in 2028!

Participant profile

Are you between the ages of 18 and 30? Interested and skilled in fundraising and art? Then we want you to join our team! You can apply for this exciting opportunity to explore different types of art in innovative ways, showcase them in four alternative museums and help us design successful fundraising campaigns to make our Art Town project a reality.
