Description

This green project aims to promote sustainability and environmentally friendly living by facilitating group actions and lifestyle changes. Planned activities include community clean-ups, energy audits, waste reduction campaigns, and partnerships with local organizations such as government agencies, businesses, and environmental groups. The project focuses on engaging the community, building awareness, and generating support for sustainable practices.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation will be in a high school dormitory, 4 persons/room, common bathroom and kitchen. While staying at the festival, you will camp (we provide tents for two people), a shared bathroom. We also provide Pocket money (including food costs): 320 euro/per person (during your stay) Travel reimbursement according to the distance calculator.

Training during the activity

During the project, we provide various training opportunities related to environmental issues and sustainable practices. Educational workshops on topics such as climate change, biodiversity, waste management Skill-building workshops on topics such as composting, recycling, upcycling Peer-to-peer learning and skill-sharing sessions, where volunteers can share their own knowledge and experiences related to environmental issues. Project planning and implementation sessions, where volunteers can learn how to design and execute a green project from start to finish.

Participant profile

- living in a European country or partner country that doesn't require a visa process for staying in Romania - aged between 18-30 years old - creative and able to share your skills on recycling and ecology with the community - nature lover with a genuine interest in ecology and environmental issues - able to adapt to a minimalist lifestyle and diverse activities
