Georgia – get involved in Student Youth Council activities

Activity description

This project will take place in Ozurgeti, Georgia.The local organisation Student Youth Council welcomes Czech volunteers since 2020. The supporting organisation (in the Czech Republic) is INEX-SDA. The volunteer will: - help with the preparation of the workshops dedicated to different youth topics and European integration - prepare materials and searching for some possibilities of youth collaboration on international level - promote (international) volunteering - organize variety of the activities - inform the locals about different youth opportunities - organize the camps, which provide the local youngsters with non-formal learning (trainings and workshops, outdoor, leisure activities)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

- The travel costs of the volunteer will be reimbursed according to the ESC programme rules. - The volunteer will get Henner complementary insurance - The volunteer will share a double room with another volunteer in a flat with other volunteers (the flats are located in central Ozurgeti (few minutes walk from office). - The volunteer will work up to 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday and occasionally on weekends (time compensations will be arranged). - The volunteer will receive pocket money according to the ESC programme rules.

Training during the activity

The volunteer will be encouraged to attend the compulsory trainings as part of the project (on-arrival and mid-term training) and learn the Georgian language.
