Description
ADAPA Foundation works with adults with Autism and other developmental disorders. We work in area of education, rehabilitation, social care and therapy. We also try to broaden the society's knowledge on Autism Spectrum and other developmental disorders. The Foundation is a basis for the Occupational Therapy Workshops (OTW) that are designed to train occupational and social skills of our participants in the most practical way. The volunteer will be able to work directly with therapists in Occupational Therapy Workshops, helping them in order to perform a safer therapy. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
Volunteer will be provided with: - accommodation in a rented flat, in 2-3 persons room shared with other volunteers - monthly pocket money and allowance - monthly ticket for buses in Gdynia.
Training during the activity
Volunteer is obliged to participate in two trainings provided by National Agency (On-arrival Training and Mid-term Training) as well as in the trainings organized and run by supporting organization.
Participant profile
We search for a volunteer who is empathetic, ready to act and tolerant for our participants. We would like to host a person with his/her own ideas to support work in Occupational therapy. Being creative, open-minded and patient in our work is crucial. The candidate should be well organized, like to work with other volunteers, but also be able to work independently. Motivated, ready to learn and grow person is very welcome to join us in your foundation.
