Activity description

MARK is a non-profit NGO in Salzburg. It helps young people providing a space with resources to develop individual and group projects. The projects are mainly in the Music, Arts and Sociocultural domains: · Music/Sound: radio broadcast, rock, metal, and other styles of live music performances. Amateur bands rehearsals and recording. · Artistic/Image: creative writing, writer’s competition, stage performances, theatre, art exhibitions etc. · Sociocultural: clothes sharing & donation, DIY bike workshop, and a social canteen ("community kitchen") with affordable vegan food every week.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Provided: accommodation, food allowance and local transport.

Training during the activity

Training: on-arrival training and a mid-term training; all costs are covered.

Participant profile

According to his/her interests, the volunteer will: Support and assist in the event organisation, set equipment for bands rehearsals and sound recording. Publish online, write creative texts, present the organisation on social media, create print materials, assist in the public relations. Assist in sociocultural/DIY projects: Place clothes in place, repair bikes, cook vegan/vegetarian food, maintain the kitchen, help in the community garden. Present his/her own project to have a positive impact on the local community. Applicants must send a CV and motivation letter to bewerbung@marksalzburg.at
