Have you ever wondered how it is to be a scientist? Do you wish to discover life in a unique international institute? Are you motivated by the protection of nature and a wish to experience a new culture in an exciting and friendly environment? We are currently looking to host 1 European volunteer for 6 or now! The volunteer will work during all the year on differents projects, depending of the needs of the differents teams and on the feeling of the volunteer. He/she will take part of data collecting, field observations (with ornithologists, botanists or ichtyologists…)n take part of data analysis (on computer) under the responsibility of a project leader. If interest, he/she could work with communication team. For example, your focus could be mainly (but not only) on the Eurasian Spoonbill research, a beautiful bird with a distinct spoon shape like bill or working with the "Water" team to study river, marshes and sea connections. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
You will have a room on the site of Tour du Valat, where you will enjoy a communal life with other volunteers and students, with all facilities included (e.g. oven, fridge, heating, internet…) and a fully epuipped kitchen, shard with other residents . During the week you can have lunch in the onsite canteen, where you will try the most delicious French dishes in a familiar environment. You will be allowed to use a car on weekends and for purchase of food in Arles. We take in charge your (green) travel from your country to France, and give you monthly pocket money and extra food allowance.
Training during the activity
