Description

purpose of the project: ESC - Volunteering Anticipated tasks: Circus Training and Workshop Assistant • assistance in circus activities for children and young people • implementation of their own workshop blocks • assistance during trips to camps, festivals and shows • performing in a MOTA – Show Social Media • collecting and publishing materials on our social media channels • documentation of the foundation´s activities • preparation of reports (videos/interviews) Stage Technical Staff • installation of stage, chairs, scenography • preparation, creation, operation of professional stage lighting and sound system Daily routine: Project times will be in the morning for school projects (not regular) as well as in the afternoon for MOTA circus training (regular). Sometimes there will also be project times on weekends (workshops, festivals, theater rehearsals...)

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We provide accomodation in a student dormitory or shared flat, pocket money in the amount of € 180,- , funds for meals in the amount of € 250,-, reimbursement of travel costs fort he project and return, city transport card, health insurance, support from the project coordinator, mentor and tutor. Project times: max. 35 h per week.

Training during the activity

AKZENTE, as the ESK-coordinating organisation in Salzburg will provide one language course MOTA will provide the initial circus pedagogic training, the mentoring sessions regarding the volunteer's artistic project and/or the training to improve soft skills, such as projectmanagement, promotion. Participating in circus training and exchange with peers and professionell a rtists within different circus disciplines Furthermore, the volunteer is obliged to attend On-arrival and Mid-term training organized by the NationalAgency (Vienna) and at the end of the project gains the Youthpasscertificate

Participant profile

We are looking for a volunteer with a clear interest in contemporary circus who enjoys engaging with kids and young people. The participant should be engaged and creative, bring new ideas for activities and acts, enjoy movement, be communicative and comfortable with flexible project times. Previous knowledge of circus is an advantage, as is knowledge of graphic design, social media or project management, but not necessary.
