The European Solidarity Corps project "Youth 4 Refugees" is seeking to tackle some of the important problems which exist in Greece related to the host of young refugees especially recently that Refugees Flows are increasing. Our organization operates a Structure for unaccompanied minors refugees at Perama and the volunteers will offer their service by supporting our staff and creating new activities for the young people we host, upgrading that way the quality of life of the young minors. Creating an active space in our camp for youngsters; supporting their personal development and self-confidence towards future and generally contribute to positive development; fighting exclusion; lack of initiative; skepticism as well as giving them new educational opportunities through European Union programs as ESC.Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The host organization is renting an apartment in the most comfortable place for living, with shared rooms when participants of different genders can live comfortably. This apartment is providing a bathroom, kitchen, and all the stuff for a comfortable living. Each volunteer has his/her own room or shares it with other volunteers. Electricity, water, an internet connection will be covered by the hosting organization. Each month volunteers will receive pocket, food.Participant profile
The volunteers should be interested in work with young refugees and for community development. Volunteers should be highly motivated and have the ability to work as a part of the Hosting organization team. We expect the applicants to be active and open, to be interested in new contacts, knowledge, impressions, and personal development. We'd like to host flexible and creative people, interested in European and refugees issues in working with social inclusion activities.Activity dates
