Project is held in Zagreb, Croatia from 1st of September 2017. till 1st of August 2018. It hosts four volunteers from Poland, Spain, Italy and Bulgaria and it is open to all young people between 18 and 30 years. Udruga Amazonas is a host organisation and it is active in sport, social and cultural field and we have a lot of projects for youngsters. Overall aim of this EVS project is to promote diversity and intercultural dialogue in local community through the cooperation between local and international volunteers. During the EVS volunteers will be involved in four groups of activities in which they will learn skills and competencies through methods of non - formal education. Those groups are: activities which are raising the level of intercultural dialogue, which are promoting inclusion in local community through sport and cultural activities, activities for improvement of digital and media skills and language improvement activities. Working hours per week are 30 - 35 hours.

Настаняване, хранене и транспорт

During the EVS volunteer will live in shared apartment with other volunteers (4 persons). Accommodation have: bedrooms for volunteer (2 volunteers per bedroom), shared dining room for hang out, kitchen, balcony and bathroom. EVS volunteers will receive the money monthly. Every month they will have the 90 Euros of the pocket money and 150 Euros for food. Accommodation and living bills are covered by the project. Budget for the travel (plane, bus) depends on the volunteer’s country. Regarding local transport, volunteers will have bicycles and student tickets for public transportation.

Обучение по време на дейността

During the project volunteers will have pre-departure training organised by their sending organisation, on-arrival and mid-term training organised by National Agency in Croatia. Furthermore, depends on field in which volunteers will work they will have video editing and media education or social skills and work with children in risk education, organised by host organisation.

As project already started and because of the cancelation - we are searching for volunteer from Poland to join the team of our EVS volunteers. (Irene from Spain, Roberto from Italy and Maria from Bulgaria) Amazonas team is open to hosting everyone who has good motivation and is between 18 and 30 years old. We want to give volunteer a chance, especially to youngsters with fewer opportunities, to better understand their own self, to take initiative in their hands, to learn not to be afraid of risks, to become open minded and tolerant and to have a chance to acquire new skills.
