Description
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in one of those idyllical villages in Sweden? Svenljunga kommun is a municapility surrounded by a breathtaking nature, with over 300 lakes, and still being close to cities like Borås and Gothenburg. We now are looking for two volunteers to join us over a period of 12 months: Our volunteers will be a part of the BUS (Children and Youth in Svenljunga) and work within our public youth center. You will even join us when we develop and create new and meaningful cooperiations with local actors to further ensure and develop a feeling of wellbeing among our teenagers. You will even be working with us when we actively work against segregation in our town as well as help us to contribute positively to socially vulnerable areas of our town to make life better for our target group.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteers will share an apparment with 3 rooms and a kitchen in the center of the town. Foodmoney will be provided and so will be transport to and from the project as well. During the stay we will be providing a buscard for public transportation.
Training during the activity
There will be an on-arrival training and a mid-term training in cooperation with the national youth agency (MUCF). In accordance with the project guidelines there will be opportunities given for the participants to study Swedish during their stay.
Participant profile
We are looking for two volunteers that share our idea of that every youngsters deserves and has the right to live it's life to the fullest with all the opportunities given. If you are burning for questions like participation, inclusion and a good amount of having fun at working with young people, you are the one we are looking for. We want you to be a curious, engaged and a social person. This is your chance to explore the magic of northern Europe.
